(NASHVILLE, TN)—January 9, 2009—Dove Award-winning music duo Angelo & Veronica are set to perform at the “Celebration of Change” concert on January 17, 2009 at Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, as part of President-elect Barack Obama’s inaugural celebration. The pair will share the stage with GRAMMY Award winners Regina Bell and John P. Kee, the Rev. Al Sharpton and former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell. “It’s incredible to be a part of the inaugural festivities,” says Angelo. “I hope that all Americans will get behind our new President and pray for his success. I’m excited for this nation.” The story of Angelo and Veronica Petrucci is like a scene out of West Side Story. A beautiful Puerto Rican girl from New York City and a handsome Italian man from Boston meet and fall in love. Unlike the movie, Angelo & Veronica’s love perseveres against all odds, all racial and cultural barriers. Married now for 16 years and with seven hit albums to their credit, Angelo & Veronica still bring music that is deeply personal and universally relevant.
